Happy World Card Making Day!

Here I am posting again!  I have so much fun making cards that I want to start posting again to share them.  Not sure who will be looking, but they'll be here!  I'm spending the day with a friend, and part of our plan was to design a card to share.  Here's what I came up with.  I used a clear card - retired from Close to My Heart.  I used a current CTMH stamp set called Autumn Wishes, cutting the elements out using my Cricut Explore, the Artbooking and new Flower Market cartridges. I sponged the wreath, "straw" and pumpkin.  The paper on the inside is from CTMH Fundamentals Rustic Home.  The embellishments are from 28 Lilac Lane Fall Collection by May Flaum.

May Flaum Tried and True- Grid

This card was inspired by May Flaum's Tried and True class final lesson.  While I won't share the specifics of the class, I followed the basics.  I used all CTMH products, cutting the cups from the new CTMH Artistry Cricut Cartridge. Stamped with holly from the stamp set from the White Pines Scrapbooking Workshop, and the sentiment from Holly Jolly Christmas. I did use a gold Wink of Stella on the cups. I thoroughly enjoyed this class. I have to go back and review the lessons and make cards. I'm going to make Christmas cards as I do.

Snowflakes and Peace

Made with all CTMH products. Sponged background with Glacier, Pacifica, Peacock and Eggplant. Love the winter sky it created. Snowflakes D1480 is an older set but still available as its Cricut compatible. They were embossed with Ranger Superfine white Embossing Powder. I stamped a few of the small flakes with Versamark. A few sparkles. The Peace sentiment is from the October Stamp of the Month Twinkle.

Christmas One Line

I'm continuing to use the sketch and concepts from May Flaums class Tried and True for Cards. She made a card using small stamps you can see on
www. theClassroom.com
I've used all CTMH stamps and ink, except Delicata Gold ink was used to stamp on top of my water colored trees. The trees were cut from CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy.

Canvas with one line technique

This uses the same concept as the card I made last night. In real life the pieces of paper in the collage aren't as apparent as they are in the picture. I used paper and sticker from Prima, and went again into my bins. I've been watching several artists doing mixed media, and I really like the process. I've acquired a number of media options. It's fun to use them!

May Flaum class

I have been following May Flaum n Periscope, and love her style and encouragement. I signed up for her class Tried and True for cards today. It's an online class in the month of November, but will be available indefinitely. I have to say that making this card from lesson one is the most fun I've had making a card in a long time!! And you know all of the buttons and brads you have that you don't use anymore? It was really fun to dig around in those bins! Even dug out very old rub ons for the sentiment. The butterfly us cut from some old Stampin Up DSP, with the top layer of vellum. This will be a great hand delivered birthday card, and I think it can be displayed as a piece of art!

I'd highly recommend the class!

Happy Thanksgiving

This card was made using very little stamping. I used my Cricut Explore to cut the wreath and acorn image, from CTMH cartridge, from CTMH watercolor paper. I really like this paper, it holds up well with a lot of water. I used CTMH watercolor paints to color the wreath and acorn. I could watercolor all at. I really like these paints( I have a few brands:)) and they are very reasonably priced!! I used the sentiments from CTMH Harvest Wreath set. The papers are from CTMH Sangria paper packet.

Watercolor

This card uses all CTMH products: water colors and the September Stamp of the Month Paper Flowers, stamped in Gypsy ink.
I'm taking the onlinecardclasses.com watercolor class - it's the second one they have offered. It really challenges me to play with all of the watercoloring mediums I have. This is a Clearly Besotted stamp I bought for the first class a while ago. Used Derwent Inktemse pencils to color the flowers, and CTMH water colors to color the background. I could make backgrounds all day long! I'll post some more over the next few days.

A Card Comes Together

I saw another card that had a watercolor background and a butterfly cut from Artistry. I cut several butterflies and saw a stencil with the negative cut. So I sponged using Thistle, Honey and Smoothie. Then I took the CTMH Watercolrs and colored one of the butterflies I cut out. Left it to dry and went to work. I found some cute little background fillers and stamped them. Hello is from one of the National Stamp Month sets. I love them! Thistle paper run through embossing folder.

Cricut to cut the banners? Shimmer tape too!

CTMH September SOTM Paper Flowers.

The September SOTM Paper Flowers is a beautiful stamp set. I've used all CTMH products on these cards - and new papers and ink colors!  The new colors are very pretty - Saffron, Eggplant and Pomegranate used here. I especially like the new green called Fern.  The Sangria paper packet is perfect for fall cards - and I used the Cricut Explore and a couple of the CTMH cartridges to cut the flowers and the label that the sentiment is on for the second card. The sentiments are from a set called Happy to be Friends.

Gift Bag using CTMH Artiste

I saw a bag made like this and had to make one. I haven't made any flowers for awhile, so I took just a few minutes to get the rolling just right. Now I want to make more. I used the Operation Smile stamp set Happy Everything for the sentiment, and Shower Flowers to stamp the sweet little flowers on the tag. Colors are Canary, Crystal Blue and Pixie. Sweet Leaf for the leaves. The thick twine is also CTMH.

Artfully Sent

Made a birthday card using Artfully Sent. Easy to cut out, then I placed card stock behind and used like a stencil, coloring with CTMH watercolor pencils and blending pen. If you don't have Artfully Sent its worth it! A new CTMH cartridge will be available August 1st. I'll be able to order it next week - il see what it's all about!! I know I haven't used all of the fun things on Artfully Sent yet!!

CTMH Happy Everything

Another card from this set. Love the sentiments in the set, and the cute balloon. I colored with Shinhan markers, and added some Liquid Glass on top. The card base is made from the Thistle paper in the Fundamentals set. This card stock is embossed and makes a nice base. I've had fun making cards with some new CTMH products.

CTMH Wavy Flowers

Love this stamp set. Used Copic markers to color the flowers. The sentiment is from CTMH happy Everything set. This is the Operation Smile set in the Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog. $3.00 from every set goes to Operation Smile, an organization CTMH sponsors.

CTMH Shower Flowers

This was fun to make. I used the new CTMH Blossom papers, Shower Flower and Wavy Blooms for the sentiment. Colors are Smoothie, Crystal Blue, Canary and Pear. Love the Coral Reef Sequins.

Twinkling H2Os

I got out my Twinkling H2Os to do some water coloring. It worked well. I used a new CTMH stamp set D1651Wavy Blossoms. Happy they have new sets for water coloring. I don't know if you can see the shimmer in the second picture.
